Lmao! It sounds scarier that it is! If your water didn't break before you got to the hospital with your son they probably broke yours that way too! It's common procedure to break the water here, most women don't even notice. It only hurts if you're not dilated at all.
Mine broke...everywhere, lol. You're right though, once you start labor you barely notice anything they do to you.
