I am also perfectly able to ignore my sexual drives, as well as a certain range of my feelings. People who don't have will never understand it.
And I can see how that's a useful 'skill', but that's not being asexual.

Asexuality can be arrived at in different ways. If we're to be precise in our use of language, however, this is the best way to describe this "skill".
