I am also perfectly able to ignore my sexual drives, as well as a certain range of my feelings. This is not something I do on a regular basis, nor something that affects my behaviour in any significant way(unless I let it). It's just a mental skill that is very useful. People who don't have it will never understand it.
Uh...I can do that as well, actually. So can most people. Shit, I had a two-year dry spell, and my libido did take a back seat in that period. Came back when it needed to.
That's not being asexual, that's just being able to compartmentalise and carry on with your day.
