Am just being cynical? When someone is referred to as "a simple person", I immediately think;"stupid,ignorant and insensitive".

Saying a person has "a good heart" is like saying "they mean well" which is the fatuous excuse beloved of proselytising Christians and other stuffwits to excuse the most appalling behaviour.
