Do you remember what I said in the other thread, about how religious opponents of evolution try to make it about ideology? Re-read the quote that Faith No More was reacting to, and see if you can spot the dishonesty. This isn't about materialism, and no matter how often the ID camp tries to make it into a philosophical/ideological pissing match it never will be about materialism. This is nothing more than their ploy to distract attention away from the fact that they have never once offered a cogent scientific theory to account for what they claim is true. It's just religious woo dressed up in scientific jargon with not a shred of evidence to support it.

So often, opponents of evolution and the scientific method give the same argument: "I want to ignore the data, because there's something wrong with you who gathered it, and I know that you're lying despite never meeting you."
