I like you Pete, and this thread is not in-keeping with your usual thoughtful posts.

If you're going to make comments about the real world, starting off with "God did this..." stated as fact is a really bad start.

You forget God also created promiscuous sex, and he created the bad consequences of promiscuous sex. You can't credit him and then have him wash his hands of it all as well.

Back in reality, I think the conclusions you draw are ridiculous. Pointing to certain bad things that have happened and blaming them on sex is absurd. How can it be inherently wrong, when marriage is nothing but an abstract concept? How can it be inherently harmful or dangerous, to the degrees you are suggesting? Of course, if you cherry pick events you can make anything look bad.

It sounds like religious/conservative programming has tainted your ability to think clearly on this matter.
