On a less joking note-
I do actually find these sorts of perceptions interesting. It's no surprise, for example, to find that a species with a near past such as ours and a habit for creating social mores would create one that limited population growth. Sure, things are peachy now, but for most of our history we didn't have enough food to feed ourselves. Starvation wasn't a regional or demographic thing, it was the human condition. We were further beset on all sides by things that would just kill us out of the blue (not the least of which a child). We, as in all of us..male and female - everywhere- were far less empowered to reduce or ameliorate the loss that "x" could incur...we didn't even understand why it was happening.
We've always bumped it like rabbits, we never see a problem with it when things are good...but when things get bad, and this -particular- moralizing bent comes from a specific place in time, when things were pretty shitty and a decidly patriarchal social order was imposed- that;s when we start looking for ways to compartmentalize our suffering. We start blaming our -societal- ills on individual decisions, and we blame hardest and best when the blamed has no voice.
It is surprising, however, to find a person in a first world country, with the sort of life that gives them access to and time for posting on internet forums......perpetuating a social tick of a vastly different yesteryear. In our cases, we have "bored jobless young men" because despite whatever we say about it...that's how we fucking -like- it to be. We've gone to incredible trouble to set our system up such that this is a product. It has nothing to do with whether or not your mother or sister or daughter is "the town slut" ....wtf that means.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
