I watched this thread for a while now, and I guess Thumpa said it first - everybody does it.
So the outrage is kinda ridiculous and artificial on the side. When someone is suspected of spying, there's always this "how could they" moment. And nevermind everything Snowden pulled into the open kicking and screaming. They all have dirt on their hands and they all know that everybody does their best to snoop out the dirty little secrets.
Today it's web based rather than the classic guys with Trench Coats and Cameras. Every nation having a little bit of ambition employs their own hackers these days. And the certainly don't stop at hacking media websites.
