I think it would kinda spoil the sense of mystery and joy of discovery.

. . . and would make God relevant to our actual lives.  Who wants that?

And would you rather an existence where your every errant thoughts is instantly corrected/overruled by an inescapable omni-sentient God Mind? Or do you prefer autonomy, privacy and the ability to grow/learn on your own?

Not like your autonomy lasts forever though...

Those who want God relevant to their lives, seek it. Those who don't, don't.

And some explorers aren't looking for any destination in-particular, some just enjoy exploring and discovering on their own for the shear thrill of the journey.
