Yes, the order of the Infinite Substance, now in flow regular pattern between all the spheres is that "feeding".

Embryo's grow, so does space-time...clocks don't grow.

And the pattern of the universe is infinite conserving itself.
It's called the conservation of matter and energy. 
Space expands but it can also be empty and the matter streches out into energy overtime till the death and rebirth or the universe.
Those empty spaces apart of space are influenced by quantum tunneling which allows the universe to reemerge.

By clockwork I mean it runs on its own.
