I should have clarified that, I was referring to the witch trials in North America in the late 1600's. From what I read, they didn't burn witches here but instead hanged them.

So do you think that we should put people in prison for saying, "I hope you die?" And I don't know that any of the so-called witches ever tried to use a magic ritual to bring death upon a person, but again killing them seems a bit excessive. If we were to put everyone to death for wishing someone else was dead, the country would be a very empty place.
