An intelligent woman can be a Christian, as she reads the whole of scripture, rather than just cherry-picking as has been done here. Women can't have authority over a man in the church. That's not much of a restriction.
Read Proverbs 31, starting at verse 10, and particularly verse 16: "She considers a field and buys it; From her profits she plants a vineyard." So, Biblically, a wife has control of money, owns real estate, and operates businesses. Reading the passage, the real question is what doesn't a woman do? Oh yeah, she can't be pastor of a church - something very few people want to be anyway.
