This is inherent value that we believe cannot be taken away regardless of anything, especially not something as trivial as the presence of absence of clothing.I agree that every person has inherent value and therefore deserves a certain amount of respect. However, a person's actions can earn additional respect above that inherent amount - or not. I'd be doing my daughters a disservice to tell them to go ahead and dress like whores, because as human beings they have a certain amount of inherent value that can't be taken away from them. I think they should take that inherent value and build on it. And, I'd bet that if we looked at your wardrobe we'd find that you pay more attention to your appearance than your stated position would warrant.
I find it disappointing that you are a Christian yet use a word like "whore". And that you would make assumptions about the way I dress, and suggest that it in any way reflects my views that a person should be treated with dignity and respect regardless of how much skin is showing.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
