Stat, if you called them "tips," I am not entirely sure people would say you were preaching. However, I am certain they would dismiss it.
I do see something wrong with preaching, and this is not it. They aren't rules. Shit, they aren't even really guidelines. These are simply tips and facts, meant to help theists understand why some ways of communicating are not working. As was already pointed out in this thread, there is already something like this for theists here. Obviously, you have neglected to read it.
