I guess everyone understood you just fine. It only doesn't compute with reality. Starting in '39 with the Hitler/Stalin pact and the Baltic states, apart from the East of Poland. A region they kept for themselves after the war to simply move the whole of Poland to the west. Thereby also swallowing parts of Germany. The attempt on Finland in '39/'40. The obvious after effects on Eastern Europe after 1945. The numerous deputy wars in the ensuing decades.
