Last weekend I had a great start. I cleaned up, did laundry, went hiking with the dogs. Felt really great.
I didn't eat very much, and I stayed up late playing League of Legends. The next afternoon, I was getting tired and burned out, and I lost that feeling of momentum.
I didn't give up, though. I ate a little better, spent at least a few minutes cleaning up every day (even though my room did start getting a little messy), and now it's Friday, I've just cleaned out the drain in the master bedroom shower, and instead of playing a game of LoL before work, I'm going to take the dogs out.
Just the simple act of not giving up and trying to make good decisions is really helping me improve my self esteem and even though I've had ups and downs, I feel that overall I'm getting more optimistic this way.
