Anyway, they live on John's Island just outside of Charleston and while the water did come up over their lawn the house was undamaged. Power is back on. Some low-lying roads are still flooded.
Well, the models predicted it wouldn't come that far up the coast. It occurred to me, and many folks that it didn't SEEM as though the storm would make such sharp course change after hitting SC, but, you know...the models.

Glad that your in-laws get to return home to a dry, undamaged structure, AND have power. They're lucky cats.
