Ok...
I look at people as individuals. I'm equal amounts humanist and misanthrope.
I don't care what your gender, race, sexuality, age and so on is. I see you as a human being. That's all I care about. Your behaviour and your intelligence. Your personality. What you are, what you do, what you choose to identify with and so on doesn't matter to me. If someone is going to be mean or aggressive towards you without reasonable justification(you being equally mean to them first) I'll most likely step in and take your side whenever I can. I won't first check what your ideology or other identifying qualities you might have, first.
But that's where my sympathy begins and ends. I think that pretty much covers everything I can and should do as a mere citizen of the world in my everyday personal interactions, whether online or IRL.
If I see you trying to silence a point of view through bullying tactics I'll treat you as a bully no matter the umbrella you hide under or the justifications you have for your actions. Free speech and a free market of ideas is crucial. I value those things more than worrying about someone getting their feelings hurt over the most ridiculous things that doesn't even affect them more than on an emotional level.
If I see you being stupid and aggressively flaunting said stupidity with an air of entitlement, again, no matter the reason behind it, I'll treat you like the cunt you are.
Be a reasonable, calm person. Try and not take everything so personally. I'll respect you as a fellow human being and I'll be more open to taking your side on a variety of things and try and better understand the issues that affect you and concern you.
That's all, really. Be a reasonable human being and I'll respond to reason with reason.
