It's slightly better than FB when it comes to privacy IMO.
But it's still a social media site. If you're that worried about privacy, don't use it.

I've got the app on my phone. It's good enough and does the job.
Can't ask for more than that.
Nah, I'm not particularly worried about the privacy aspect - at least from an 'operational' point of view... it's just the way of the world now... if someone can make millions off feeding adverts to people that they never click on then good luck to them

- it's just more about how these monopolies are coming into being; Google, Amazon, Facebook etc. I don't like that, but at the same time I know they're all responsible and (generally) transparent with their privacy policies. I just don't like these 'ecosystems' that can lock you in so given the choice I'd prefer to go with companies that stay what they started as. Says me... someone who buys pretty much everything from Amazon

but wherever I see them trying to lock you in, that's where I start to resist and not buy whatever they're offering on principle. Prime is a good example of that... lock you in to all the digital stuff, some of it exclusive, to make you dependent on them. So even in Netflix, which I do use, I'm wary about watching any of their exclusive content. But thankfully I think I'm pretty good at dropping things on demand, so I think it wouldn't be a major problem to break any dependence on any of these companies. Like with Prime, it does offer the walking dead, and I was keen to watch that, but overall I just decided 'sod it', it's not that important... and it's not... it's just a (usually depressing) TV programme
