What do you think prisons are for? Sure some are innocent, but I'm sure most in there got justice served to them, or are you now gonna claim prisons don't exist?
Prisons offer some form of burning the bad actions so some people avoid bad karma later on but if the
bad actions are more than the prison time can sort out those bad action then karma will take over.
Some people commit so many crimes that even a life time spent in prison is not enough to pay for
those bad action like in the case of people who torture or killed many people.
So no prisons are not the best solutions.
By the way how on earth do you know that some people get off the hook?
Have you ever asked yourself why some people born in the sewer while other people born in a positive situation?
