You are perhaps the gentlest soul we have here at AF. My point is, why would you cheapen this very admirable reputation with a petition to a deity that has proven time and again his lack of concern for the general human condition, let alone take interest in correcting the short term anxiety of only one of humanity's representatives. If you empathize with the afflicted, then simply say so. The meaning will be well received and is often all we can do. If by chance there is something you can actually do, then do it. Imploring someone that obviously doesn't give a shit detracts from an otherwise meaningful gesture.
In short, despite our limited encounter here at AF, you are a far better being than your god could ever hope to be. Don't let your affection for your god diminish what is otherwise a beautiful soul.
