There were thousands of witnesses. Many of whom were objective, from different or no religious background, as well as reporters.

Confirmnation bias. Also, two things on that. It happened in 1917 and all the pictures we have don't show anything extraordinary. Grainy stuff that could be anything and nothing. Reporters go for a good story to sell papers.

Secondly, the date was 1917. Don't you think there was some little business going on just a few hundred miles to the Northeast that would have been more deserving of divine attention or intervention than a one horse town in Portugal?

In any case, what are we supposed to see here?
