Asking how bad someone hates him suggests that they are trying to hate him but not being very successful. Although it would have been grammatically better to ask:
"How badly do you hate Donald Trump?"
'Badly' being an adjective (a describing word). Bad implies a way of quantifying the failure to hate Donald Trump. e.g. What temperature is it today?
Asking how much implies that there is a sliding scale of hate from indifference to loathing.
