I didn't ask for a cause, I asked where he/she/it was before creating everything. It's a simple question why can't you answer it?
God doesn't need a reason before everything was created "on what he was doing" That's why the Bible doesn't say. Theologically speaking however we can assume what he was doing. God experienced absolute satisfaction in Himself. God dwelt joyfully alone in eternity as the Trinity. These three were together in fellowship with one another from all eternity. They loved each other. We know at some point they discussed the redemption of mankind, but everything else lies in mystery.
