Darn right it's an emotional reaction. I'm absolutely fucking horrified that you worship a god whom you apparently believe would torture sentient beings for eternity for something as trivial as non-belief.
If there is a god out there, I trust that it is considerably more sane and compassionate than the murderous, unstable asshole described in the Bible. The god that you believe in simply is not worth worshipping.
