Remove violent aggression from the world and you have a world that still has its share of failures and successes, of disappointments and triumphs, of 'bad' things that we learn from and 'good' things that we celebrate. What you do not have is unnecessary pain and suffering inflicted by people upon one another for bad reasons or no reason at all. You can learn how to build a working light bulb or steam engine through a process of trial-and-error and deal with the pain that comes with failing over and over but which helps guide you to a success that you can then enjoy. That is not removed in a world where you don't have to worry that someone will rape your child or stab you to death.

Your belief leads to a system that doesn't work any better than the reactive and imperfect system we have. Your solution leads to either an incompetent or wicked source of 'justice.' You think that the horrifying things that happen in the world all lead to some kind of 'balance' and that this is a viable system for "learning" that is akin to the guidance that a loving parent provides for his children. In order to make your fantasy fit the real world you have to warp it into something terrifying. I am thankful that your karma and your god do not exist. The universe is scary enough as it is.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
