Yeah, I know that, but couldn't find a report that explicitly discounted children born in the US to illegal immigrants. I went with that report as a 'worst case', assuming that the education costs relate solely to children that are not citizens. I'd be more than happy to revise the costs down if more accurate figures can be found.

Because some posters have brought up the 'cost' of illegal immigration as a reason to deport them. I'm trying to make the point that if it is the cost to Joe Public that people are worried about, it would - in the worst case scenario - cost about the same to deport an illegal immigrant than it would for them to stay, (as you say, in reality it would likely cost a lot less for them to stay) so that particular reason is imo invalid.
