You realise that precisely opposes the attitude that led to literally every innovation and social change that improved the welfare of the human race, right? Would you prefer us to go back to wiping our arses with leaves and have most of our offspring die in childbirth?

It is the other way around. It is pain and discomfort what causes people to move forward, invent, fight. If everything was nice and easy we would still be wiping our arses with leaves, just like you said.

Because it is. One of the select few where there aren't any grey areas. Plain and simple. If you refuse to help people in mortal danger you're not a very nice person. That should be obvious, regardless of where these people come from.

Wally the moral  nihilist here can't get that. It can't penetrate his smug pretentions of his superior knowledge of reality of course sociopaths generally tend to megalomaniacs so at least he's consistent
