I've distributed supplies from a safezone. We do it, it's something that we can do, alot of times all that we're willing to do, but it doesn't actually stop the food from getting to the wrong people, or ensure that the right people get it......because you just don't know who is who, and ofc they have to go home, outside of your bristling firing lanes. You clear a building the next day for insurgents and there are your supplies, all eaten, nothing but the cans and wrappers left. Laying there next to the discarded 105's and loose electrical supplies (also american made and distributed). Meanwhile, the good guys keep getting thinner, no matter how much food you put directly into their hands. It's infuriating. At some point frustration alone makes you flirt with the idea of sweeping the whole lot with a few bursts from the 20mike on your av...or at least off a few of them at random with the 50 on the humvee, just so they all know how you're feeling.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
