Fortunately, danger to mom's life usually happens later on in pregnancy. By that time, the baby has a chance of survival outside the womb. Induce labor or do a C-section to eliminate the threat to the mom, while still trying to save the baby. The baby may die in the process, but it's a much more ethical option than poisoning the baby or cutting him/her up while still alive inside the womb.
