Though what you're saying also doesn't make any sense.
You're basically saying "Oh it isn't 'The Church' doing anything to help, it's the people of the Church, through the Church. But not The Church!" Lol. You talk about The Church as if it's some sort of separate entity in and of itself. "The Church" is all of us. If myself along with a group of my fellow parishioners raised money at one of our Church events and then used it to go to Guatemala to build homes for the poor people there, it would be considered "Catholic Charity" and "help from the Catholic Church." We literally are the Church.
