I do wake up with a sort of sense of unbelief every morning. Actually I woke up with that feeling even when he was nominated. However unlike most of my friends (on here and in real life) I'm not filled with a total sense of dread. I think mostly because I read more diversified media then your average Atheist forums user or my average facebook friend, almost all of whom read exclusively left leaning media. If you listen to actual Trump voters or right wing media, you'll discover that they didn't vote for him because of racist reasons, but either for standard Republican ones or an opposition to Hillary Clinton or because they are afraid of losing their jobs to more outsourcing, which is a classic political line of the left. It was the latter voters who gave Trump the election.
If all you read is from the left wing media, then it's easy to believe that it's just a bunch of racists and the world is headed for inevitable destruction. If you diversify your thought, you'll probably calm down a little.
Although at the same time, I am moving to Australia for a couple of years, so who am I to say.
