I do think that if you help break a country you should help the refugees from that calamity, and UK and France each own a share of the debacles in Iraq, Libya, and Syria -- albeit much smaller than my own country which has itself failed miserably in shouldering its own burden of refugees from those nations.

What do you want me to say? No matter how I explain my reasoning, you will remain wedded to your views, views which I find small-hearted and sad.
I'm not talking about what should or shouldn't be done.
You said they don't want to be in France because they're not welcome there. The place where they want to go is the UK. I'm saying they're pretty much not welcome in the UK either. In the sense that legally they're not welcome here by laws put in place by the people who run the country.
So you're saying these illegal immigrants wouldn't want to stay somewhere they're not welcome, I'm saying isn't the whole point of what they're doing to try and aggressively head towards a place where they're not welcome, a place where the powers that be will try and prevent them from entering.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
