You don't freeze up, fall on the ground and start foaming up in the mouth that's ridiculous..besides, no discussion or lecture is going to be randomly talking about rape for 40 minutes, they'll include the topic of the discussion in the title.there's no need for extra "Trigger warnings" just the thing sounds wimpy and frankly kind of pathetic that grown men and women need these kinds of "warnings" of "Triggers" what's the worst that could happen? You throw a fit and realize how ridiculous you are when everyone laughs at you? Great. Sign me up.
Listen, pool. There are people in this world that couldn't give two shits about what you think is wimpy or pathetic. If you don't need trigger warnings, that's fine. Some people would prefer to have them so they can avoid topics that could be painful or trigger post traumatic stress.
Why is it so inconceivable that other people may have different experiences and preferences than you? If you don't need or want trigger warnings, what harm does it do for people who would prefer them? Are you such a man-child that even the presence of something you don't need is offensive and, say, triggering? Do you need a trigger warning for trigger warnings?
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
