The second story about Russia doing away with domestic abuse laws, according to the article is slick the way it is written. It wants to convey idea that "don't hold a grudge forever", that part is bullshit. It really is designed to keep the patriarchal authority of the idea that the male is always the head of the household.

I don't believe in holding grudges, and we do over punish mostly non violent people, and we should do more than simply warehouse people, and make it so when they get out they don't repeat the same behaviors. But as far as Trump no, this isn't a matter of forgiving or forgetting. You can not forget something, and you should remember the past as not to repeat it. His attacks of not one person, but several groups is a horrible tactic to be used in politics.
