On watching that briefing as a foreigner living in another country, I have to say that this was my first impression. I was amazed that the first press briefing was predominantly about his bruised ego. And such a condescending tone of voice too. As I watched it I realised how this was actually far worse because it was a sign of how he wants to try gaining control over the mainstream media and / or discrediting it.
It's going to be an interesting two years that's for sure.
