"Atheism’ means the negation of theism, the denial of the existence of God."

Succinct, to the point, and therefore less a playtoy for theists.

Nonbelief =/= belief

Regardless, I don't see any disagreement there with the definition I gave. It's a position affirming the non-existence of God. I am sorry if you don't like that but tough cookies my friend

A denial of a thing states it is not so.

Therefore making a statement that a thing is not.

It's the difference between "There is no god." and "I see no reason for there to be a god."

The first is a belief. The second is skepticism.
