I'm not sure why you think I'm suffering from any sort of admiration for Trump, I'm simply suggesting that he spoke to something people wanted to hear, whether they lie to pollsters (and themselves) about it or not, lol. That his message...as terrible as it may be to believe, resonated with those people more stongly than clintons. It wasn;t as if she didn;t have one, it wasn;t as if ther were no choices to be had, or even a choice not to participate. A significant portion of americans -wanted- this...they liked what they heard. He didn't invent american bigotry and xenophobia, he just plugged in....accidentally, intentionally, it hardly matters now.
People need to stop making BS up about the election and why Trump won. Trump won because he carried all of the Red States, just like the queer Graham or no energy Jeb! would have carried. In addition he picked up the Rust Belt States that had economic problems.
As the Dem like to whine, Lying Crooked Hillary got more popular votes but they were in the true Blue States. However, the election isn't decided by the popular vote but by who wins the most electoral college votes in the States. So actually Hillary's BS was more popular among all of the voters than Trump's BS was. She just didn't have national support.
