We need to go back to the good old days when calling a spade a spade, or a faggot a faggot, was recognized as an opinion that was equally deserving respect as any other. Them kind of opinions are fine when aimed at minorities, but don't you dare aim them at yer betters, boy! You need to show some respect for the working man.
Oh....the irony.
I think the irony is that you just went completely PC and are accusing anyone who thinks that PC is a problem of being a closet racist and homophobe. By immediately injecting charges of racism, you could not have proven the problem with PC any better.
If someone does not use such derogatory terms, then they won't be running into that problem.....

It strikes me that you aren't even sure what 'PC' is. Your only method of showing that it is a problem is to say it's a problem.
The reality is that 'PC' is just the current name for something that has been happening forever. Every generation used to be able to say shit that they feel they should still be able to say without someone saying it's fucked up. We used to call it 'a different time.' As society evolves, there will always be things that are no longer socially acceptable, and there will always be people who think that's wrong.
We just have social media now, so when someone says something that society, as a whole, has deemed no longer acceptable, the backlash can be more numerous. Newsflash: that's not going anywhere. It's always been there, it's always going to be there. It's not a new culture, it's just easier to see it because people post on social networks. Just like in the past, when you are famous or represent an entity like a company or organization, if you speak in public and say something people disagree with, people have their reaction. Now, Twitter exists, and the opportunities for speaking out are more numerous. Until people learn how to navigate this, they will have issues.
It's not hard. I have a Facebook and a Twitter and an Instagram. I have never said anything that could get me fired, nor would I. If I can figure out this dangerous PC world we live in, I think anyone can. Except maybe the Donald.
This post is much better than mine, thank you for this.
I agree. I I would be happy to let anyone view my FB page because I know to keep politics and religion pretty much hidden in anything resembling public.
This forum is the only "public" place I let loose a little. And even here I regret it, lol.
