And that is exactly why you will get apologists bending over backward with some of the most ridiculous statements ever made to defend this discrepancy.
This deity is supposed to be all powerful and therefore could easily make a personal appearance and remove all doubt of its existence.
But apparently that would break our Free Will.
But, of course, this deity knew what sort of person we'd be from the moment it "made" us.
The arguments usually end up going in circles and I've had numerous discussions that end in, "Who are you to question god??"
