Trump is now calling on Congress to investigate a claim he heard on an actual false news site.
Will they take him seriously? A few days ago he called for an investigation into Nancy Pelosi for eating a dognut at a public meeting with Putin. It's hard to know when to take him seriously. Sometimes he means what he says, but often it's just him blowing off steam.
I think he's serious, but of course nothing will happen. If he was wiretapped, it would have gone through legal channels to get it done, Obama not being involved, just intelligence agencies an courts.
Is this going to be the next 4 years? Trump makes outrageous and spurious claims, and his supporters cheer about having a real man in office while he waves his fists and stomps his feet and wastes countless taxpayer dollars defending his ego, on vacation in his own resort, while the people really in charge dismantle government agencies, and repeal all environmental and human protections?
This is the very definition of toxic masculinity, btw. All these chest beaters think Obama was a weak president and Trump is a strong one. Apparently they think ranting on twitter, throwing tantrums, insulting everyone and everything you don't like, beating madly at every perceived slight, groping women, hanging up on allies, and in general being as loud, self centered and obnoxious as posdible are wonderful, manly traits.
Being intelligent, thoughtful, dignified, having a sense of humor about yourself, being educated and well spoken; these are signs of weakness, apparently.
