I believe most Americans don't know Article IV of the Constitution by heart. 'Many Americans do' is not a refutation of that.

Like if someone said Darth Vader was a great guy whose example we should all follow and I point out his role in the destruction of Alderon as an example of how he's not such a good role model, it means I am acknowledging Darth Vader is real.
