You just need something, anything, that can replicate with less than perfect fidelity, and bam, Charlie D is in da house.

Interesting tidbits:  Through the other DNA donor (no longer *in* our household, thank FSM), my daughter is related to the Wedgwood family and thereby indirectly related to Charlie D.  My mother also shared the same birthday, and my brother is a microbiologist/geneticist.

And an awful lot of good chiney cups.

On a less scurrilous note; Darwin would never have gotten on the Beagle only for the intervention of his uncle Josiah Wedgewood. Darwin père was set against it.
