Bolding mine. Does that complaint buff out?I've always spelled out an item, then put the acronym in parens, when I wrote technical documentation. I especially despise the use of buzzwords in technical literature, as I prefer to eschew verbal obfuscation.
Generally if it's a simple phrase like "blood pressure" but the doctor is repeatedly saying "BP" I'll continue to spell it out, but with the more complex ones I do tend to give the acronym and use it in subsequent appearances.
