I'm joining the growing ranks of the followers of Republican Jesus who are having Trump regrets.
I thought surely a pseudo casino mogul who managed to go bankrupt four times was a business genius.
I was certain that a self-described rapist infamous for stiffing his creditors, who wouldn't offer any transparency over his finances was just the man we needed to clean out Washington's corruption.
I really thought a guy known for selling cheap crap made in China was going to bring back American jobs.
I was sure the guy snuggling up to Putin, who had financial conflicts of interest all over the world, who's idea of divestment was giving his businesses to his children, who is beholden to God-only-knows who financially was the one to Make America White Great Again.
You could have knocked me over with a feather when it turned out that hiring a guy with absolutely ZERO experience and/or formal training in government, law, civics, international service, military or political science for the most important political job in the entire world was completely insane.
You'd have thought a man who launched a 3 am Twitter War with a former Miss Universe after that train-wreck of his first debate performance had just the kind of temperament and sense of priorities to successfully negotiate with world leaders.
Color me surprised that a man with a 20 word vocabulary isn't getting much respect on the world stage.
