I honestly think we should simply just get rid of the concept of Party Affiliation with our American politicians. I believe that it would force voters to be more informed on the issues. Some people have told me that this would lead to something such as a one party state. While that argument is understandable, I do think that would not happen.
People running for office should have to win over voters by convincing them they will do what the people desire.

I think you're right. We already do that here in our local elections and it works fine.
