Always funny when people want to act offended that a guy who was on this planet solely to get killed, got himself killed.
It never happened in reality, but the motif of the story is absurd if one wants to claim it to be a "sacrifice". If you murder someone in the manor as the bible would have you believe, in reality, they stay dead. If the bible had been written today the followers would be wearing needles around their necks instead of crosses.
But again, it is still absurd logically speaking if God keeps hitting reset. If he gets everything right, then we'd still be in the garden. If he got everything right no need for a flood, if the flood was supposed to work, no need for Jesus. But even after Jesus God goes back to being a violent vindictive bully to anyone even those who simply didn't want to follow him.
The God of the bible behaves like a childish brat who cant get the characters on his Xbox to do what he wants. It is a bloody version of Sim City. He reads like a childish bully where at best we are his toys, props, lab rats, mere property. Scientifically absurd alone from the first page to the last, but morally bankrupt as well and amounts to a threat bribe system on par with a mafia boss.
