I always thought it strange my home state would make me take my spectacles off for my photo; they claimed it was for a clear photo, though Restriction A (corrective lenses) was marked on the licence, and if ever I were caught without my glasses, I could be arrested. (As my myopia is so bad the windscreen on my car is out of focus without glasses, it is sort of like driving with my eyes closed without them.)
Legally, with glasses on is the only way a cop should see me driving.
