Nobody I would call sane would do that. Why? Because NOBODY comes back after death. You are your brain in motion, once your brain dies YOU DIE.
There is no such thing as a soul. Just like there is no soul for a cat or dog or cockroach. There is no such thing as a soul for humans either.
The psychological reason humans make these claims up and sell these claims is simple, it is a mere comic book reflection of our natural evolutionary drive to continue. Humans don't like the thought of being finite.
