Do you mean no one holds Lucas to account for working in what you see as biblical themes? Meh, I doubt if he cares and for the majority in this country it would probably be a plus. Besides, who says the bible can't have perfectly good story lines as a work of fiction in addition to all the begetting lists and what not?
Holy crap. Jeeze wow, some people act like I was Ozzie Ozborn and pissed on the Alamo. It's just a movie. I know he doesn't give a shit. I was simply pointing out it would not surprise me if the themes of Catholic/Buddhism were part of his inspiration. I just don't see the plot the same way I did as when I was a kid. Kinda like I see Santa as a authoritarian stalker now.
It is still a masterpiece as far as acting, music, costumes and special effects. I was merely addressing the PLOT.

If it is just a movie, then take my criticism of the PLOT for just that.
